Li-SOCl2 primary cells provide a typical 3.6V nominal voltage and very low annual self-discharge, commonly around 1% per year under suitable storage conditions. Current VTCBATT ER platforms range from approximately 1,200mAh to 20Ah, supporting multi-year smart metering, utility monitoring, industrial sensors, alarms, asset tracking, and remote IoT. Pulse demand, passivation, temperature, and service-life calculations must be evaluated for each design.
